Senior Showcase highlights year of achievements
Graduating seniors will celebrate with family and friends during this year's Senior Showcase, which will be held at 7 p.m. in the UC Theater on May 15.
The showcase will highlight the accomplishments of several graduates and will include awards, scholarships and special showings of student-produced projects. This year’s television documentary, “Changing Home”, will also premiere at the event.
“Family and friends will get a chance to see examples of television and radio programs, print pieces, photography and multimedia projects created by the senior class,” said professor Denise Dowling, “It’s a chance for the graduates to introduce their families to the faculty, staff and fellow students with whom they’ve spent the last four years.”
Friday's Senior Showcase marks the start of graduation weekend, and will be followed by Saturday's commencement ceremony at 10 a.m. in Washington-Grizzly Stadium. The Journalism School's ceremony will take place outside on the south lawn of Don Anderson Hall at 2 p.m. In the event of rain, the ceremony will be moved to the Urey Underground Lecture Hall.
Congratulations to all graduating seniors!
