Former New York Times reporter named as fall Pollner Professor
Former New York Times reporter William Glaberson will be the T. Anthony Pollner Distinguished Professor at the University of Montana School of Journalism next fall semester.
Glaberson, who holds a Juris Doctorate from Albany Law School of Union University, as well as a masters degree in journalism from Columbia University, also reported for Business Week Magazine and the New York Law Journal.
At UM he’ll teach a course in covering the courts.
Glaberson will be the school’s 13th Pollner professor. The endowed professorship was created by the friends and family of T. Anthony Pollner, a 1999 journalism school alumnus who died in 2001. It brings a noted journalist to UM every fall to teach a course and work with the staff at the UM student newspaper, the Montana Kaimin. Glaberson will also deliver the Pollner lecture in September.
